Division of
Medical Education

Welcome

The Division of Medical Education's mission is to help aspiring and current physicians in their quest for life long learning. Its aim is to train physicians to give state of the art, scientifically astute, and compassionate care to patients.

The 120 members of the Division work with the faculty of the School of Medicine to encourage intelligent and humanistic individuals to pursue medicine as a career and to, in practice, fulfill their potential to develop, deliver, and assess the curricular materials needed for them to learn the science of medicine as well as the art.

MedEd - Telemedicine Center Construction

What they (Swinerton Builders) did on our winter vacation…
TowerInMorning_smallWhile we were off on our two week winter vacation, construction continued, and our builders made considerable progress. Have you seen the big blue tower crane? It stands 120 feet tall, and the only way to reach the top is via the ladders running up the tower. The 210-foot long boom lifts about 13,000 pounds at the end and 20,000 pounds at the cab. The lowest level of the tower was permanently fixed within a concrete pad, then erected in segments with the help of another large crane. For pictures, see the tower crane photo gallery. more...
