Older Adults: Implementing Team-Based Healthcare
Director: Michelle Devor, M.D.
Older Adults: Implementing Team-Based Healthcare, now an elective course offered by the AGRC, began as a collaborative initiative between UCSD, Mark Meiners from George Mason University, and the San Diego Department of Aging and Independence Services. The initial collaboration created a course that is currently offered to physicians in the community, called TEAM SAN DIEGO. With a grant from the CGEC, UCSD modified the initially developed course to create a course more appropriate for health sciences students. This course is now being offered at UCSD and SDSU, to medical, pharmacy, nursing, gerontology and social work students, as well as interested students in other fields.
