Mission and Vision Statement

postbac imageThe primary mission of the First-time Applicant and Reapplicant Postbaccalaureate Programs is to provide a supportive learning community and equal opportunity for academic success to 15  economically  and/or educationally disadvantaged students  who are preparing for careers in medicine.
postbac imageOur long-term vision is to contribute to improving the human condition by providing academic enrichment and emotional support to qualified students who have demonstrated a sincere commitment to become physicians in medically underserved communities. Our expectation is that, upon graduation from medical school and completion of residency, our program graduates will return to the urban and rural communities to practice culturally sensitive medicine, preferably, in California.
