Welcome to the Health Sciences Financial Aid Office
We are dedicated to helping health science students find the best solution to financial needs they encounter while attending school. Counseling and assistance are available in an office which offers ease of access and flexibility in responding to individual situations.
Eligibility for financial aid is based on need and requires the submission of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) www.fafsa.ed.gov 
along with UCSD´s application and tax returns for the student and spouse (if applicable).
Students applying for limited school-based grants, scholarships and low-interest loans must submit additional application material including financial information and tax returns for their parents.

Students who are from the neediest financial circumstances will receive awards from the limited school-based grants, scholarships and loans. Students who are from less needy financial circumstances, but who are still formally eligible for aid will usually derive their support from outside agency loan programs such as Subsidized and Unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loan, and private educational bank loans.

The Financial Aid Office also maintains a listing of outside scholarship opportunities. This listing is included on the website under the "Publications" heading.
Students and applicants are welcome to stop by the Financial Aid Office at any time during office hours for further information on our programs.
