The 2006 MSTP retreat was held on August 26-27 in La Jolla, CA.

Agenda:

Saturday, August 26

11:00am - 2:00 pm:  Orientation, Introduction to the program and MSTP Planning Meeting — SIO Library 3rd Floor Patio.
2:30 - until Beach Barbecue:  SIO Beach — near Lot P001.  Activities include surf boarding, snorkeling and kayaking, reserved parking in lot P003.

Sunday, August 27

10am - 12pm:  Future Planning / MSTP Business Meeting.
12pm - 1pm:  Lunch — served on Garden Patio.
1:00pm:  William Bradley, Jr. MD, PhD, FACR, Professor and Chair of the Department of Radiology.
2:00pm:  Nicholas Schork, PhD, Professor of Psychiatry and Biostatistics, Co-Director, Center for Human Genetics and Genomics, Director, Biomedical Informatics, Moores Cancer Center.
3:00 - 3:30pm:  Afternoon Break.
3:30 - 5:00pm:  Small Group Breakouts. During this session, various faculty will be seated in round table discussions with our students (divided by Sib-Tree groups) and discuss a specific question or statement that relates to our overall theme and will be provided to each leader.
5:00 - 6:00pm:  Entire group discussion regarding the topics discussed at the breakouts.
6:00 - 8:00pm:  Dinner — served on beach.
