Admission Requirements
The admission committee selects applicants for matriculation who have demonstrated the personal qualities of commitment to medical research, dedication to the ideal of service to society, and character traits of intelligence, maturity, and integrity. Recommendation letters, research experience, standardized test scores, grades, and clinical volunteer work are considered. The school desires students with diverse interests and backgrounds, and is committed to expanding opportunities in medical education for individuals from socioeconomic and educationally disadvantaged backgrounds. There is no preference for an undergraduate major field of study; students should demonstrate both broad training and in-depth achievement in a particular area of knowledge, whether in the humanities, social sciences, or natural sciences.
