AudioVisual Services Offered

The Health Sciences AudioVisual Services Unit is part of Educational Computing (EdCom), within the UCSD Division of Medical Education. We are here to provide prompt, reliable, courteous,and technically-competent service. We strive to provide cost effective and appropriate applications of computing and media technology.

Our "smart classrooms" are equipped with multimedia lecterns and ceiling-mounted data/video projectors. School of Medicine and affiliated departments may use the "Smart Classrooms" free of charge.

Health Sciences AudioVisual Services also provides a broad range of audiovisual equipment and services on a cost recovery basis for special events and conferences. State of the art equipment is also available on a delivery or check-out basis for those rooms not equipped with new technologies.

• Assistance with the operation of AV equipment.
• Information on classroom-installed AV equipment.
• AV equipment check-out and reservations.
• Videotaping of conferences, seminars, classroom lectures and other special event for archival use and duplication.
• Duplication of standard audio cassettes.
