Sandra P. Daley, M.D. / Principal Investigator

Dr. Daley received her Medical degree from UCSD School of Medicine. After completing her residency training, she spent the next twelve years of her professional career as a Clinician, Medical Director, and then Executive Director of Comprehensive Health Center, a community-oriented Primary Care Clinic located in a predominantly Hispanic and African American low-income neighborhood in San Diego. She is currently Professor of Pediatrics, and Assistant Dean of Diversity and Community Partnerships at the UCSD School of Medicine. Dr. Daley continues to address the need to increase diversity in the workforce in order to address health care access for underserved populations through her work with this program. As a leader of New Beginnings, a San Diego experiment in interagency collaboration, she has developed the current partnership that we maintain with COPC. While her work is mostly behind the scenes, she plays an important role in keeping our program running smoothly.
