Interim Student Lounge (UC 301)

The Health Sciences interim student lounge is available 24 hours/day for those individuals who possess the lounge key card.

Multiple Disciplinary Labs

Each of the 6 first floor Multiple Disciplinary Lab (MDLs) workrooms are equipped with a PC and data projector. The rooms are available 24 hours/day (when the classrooms are not in use for courses). Only authorized individuals with an MDL key may use these computers.

West Wing Medical Student Lounge - UCSD Medical Center: Hillcrest

The student lounge at UCSD Medical Center can be accessed 24 hours/day with the same key issued for the Farris Student Lounge. The lounge is equipped with 3 computers, study area, lockers, microwave, refrigerator, couches and more!

Simulation Center (UC301)

The Simulation Center is currently equipped with a variety of "partial task trainers" and diagnostic/monitoring equipment. A Laerdal SimMan 3G arrived in Fall Quarter 2009. Other simulation technologies are being evaluated for future purchase.

Telemedicine Learning Center

The Southern California Telemedicine Learning Center (SCTLC), established in 2008 through a start-up grant from CTEC (the California Telemedicine and eHealth Center), serves the telemedicine and e-health learning needs of organizations and providers in the rural and medically underserved Southern California communities (http://telemdicine.ucsd.edu). The SCTLC has the facilities for and the interest in educating medical students about these technologies and is currently exploring options for curricular integration.
