MedEd IT Documentation - How to Install Ad-Aware

1. Download and locate the Ad-Aware installation file.
   
   
2. Double-click the file and follow the on-screen instructions in the Installation Wizard to install. Click Next to continue.
   
   
   
3. Be sure to select Install Ad-Aware only.
   
   
   
4. Click 'Install' to install the files.
   
   
5. Check the box Restart now and run Ad-Aware. Then click 'Finish' to restart your computer and run Ad-Aware.
   
   
   
6. The Update Manager should start right away before restarting your computer.
   
   
   
7. When your computer finishes restarting, Ad-Aware should start up automatically.  When prompted for the License press the Close button to use the free version.  If you want to buy the full version later, you can do so from within the program.
   
   
   
8. It is suggested that you run the scan immediately after installation to check for any pre-existing spyware/adware existing on your computer. Click the Full Scan tab and then the Scan Now button.
