Security Overview
EdCom works with MedEd clients to ensure that all computers are in compliance with the mandatory UCSD Network Security Policy (02/24/2009). 
This policy applies to all students, faculty, and staff logging onto MedEd or University resources from their home computer, from their laptop while on campus, or from Campus computer labs. It also applies to faculty and staff logging in from departmental computers.
The UCSD Network Security Policy sets a Minimum Network Connection Standard. ALL computers MUST have anti-virus, firewall, and anti-spyware software programs or services installed, actively running, and kept up-to-date. In addition, all critical operating system updates must be installed in a timely fashion.
