| The UCSD Medical Student-Run Free Clinic will hold its annual fundraising dinner and award celebration.
The evening includes the presentation of the Dan Kershner, Barbara Stegemann and Judge Judy Keep
Memorial Awards (for outstanding dental, medical, pharmacy and legal service contributions) and
Free Clinic Service Awards. |
| Health professionals and students volunteer their
time to provide free care for the underserved and homeless in San Diego
County. Many patients have jobs but cannot afford medical care or
medicines. The student-run clinics are located in Southeast San Diego,
Downtown and Pacific Beach. The program offers treatment to anyone in
need of care and patients are not screened on a financial basis. The
clinic's posted motto is “Serving the Underserved”. |
