Myocardial Infarction: Incorrect

Myocardial infarction should always be considered when a patient presents with RUQ pain. Atypical presentations of MI can present with RUQ pain, dyspepsia, nausea and vomiting. Typically the patient has a history of cardiac disease or chest pain. However, it is usually wise to get an EKG if the diagnosis of biliary disease is at all questionable.

Mrs. Jones is not having an acute MI. She has a normal EKG and no cardiac or respiratory symptoms.
