How to Survive the ICU - Events Over Night

Ask your nurse what happened over night. If she is not around, look at the note section on his/her chart. Report the events quickly, and concisely.

Example of events include:
  "No events overnight."
  "Continues to have alot of leg pain,
    increased the morphine to 2 units q hour."
  "Continues to have emesis."
  "Had a bowel movement."
  "Tolerated oral feeds."
  "Had an episode of chest pain."
  "Experienced an episode of hypotension that
    responded to fluid bolus"
  "Complains of pain in abdomen"
  "Neuro came to beside yesterday for consult."
  "Went for CT scan."
  "Went to CT and had an episode of hypotension there"
