Simulation at UCSD School of Medicine
The use of simulation technologies in the medical curriculum has dramatically grown and taken on an ever more important role. To support and expand this trend, the UCSD Division of Medical Education has opened a new Simulation Training Center. This facility will serve our undergraduate, graduate, and continuing medical education programs in the new Medical Education & Telemedicine building that opened in September 2011.
The Simulation Training Center is currently equipped with a Laerdal SimMan 3G and variety of "partial task trainers" and diagnostic /monitoring equipment. Other simulation technologies are being evaluated for future purchase. The current list of simulation equipment can be found in the "Simulation Equipment" link in the upper left section of the menu.
