My current laptop computer is close to (but does not exactly meet) the minimum standards. Do I have to buy a new one?
You can begin school with your current laptop computer and see if it is adequate to meet your needs. If access to and display of complex media (such as images or video) are a problem, you may need to rethink purchase of a new system.

Both platforms are supported by the UCSD Division of Medical Education.

Where will I be able to use my wireless laptop computer on campus?
As of July 2006, the SOM Teaching Labs, SOM & School of Pharmacy auditoriums, the Farris Student Lounge, MTF Classrooms, the Biomedical Library, and other locations throughout the School of Medicine are set up for wireless connectivity. Check the UCSD Wireless Overview page for details
