Visiting Senior Students
Welcome to the UCSD School of Medicine. The School offers a myriad of clinical educational opportunities to senior visiting medical students. We work closely with visiting students to optimize educational opportunities for students in the final stages of their medical school training. This site is designed to provide you with in-depth information regarding eligibility requirements and clinical opportunities. We look forward to your presence at UCSD.
Our program currently accepts applications as follows:
Prospective students from North American (US, Canada, Puerto Rico) medical schools
Students who attend LCME-accredited North American medical schools should visit VSAS for complete information about our program, including the application process.
Prospective students from medical schools outside of North America
Students from medical schools outside of North America may be considered on a very limited basis. Please see Students From Foreign Schools for more information.
**Please note that we are currently accepting applications for the 2011-12 year only. You may refer to the elective calendar for exact dates. Information about the 2012-13 year should be available on this website in March 2012.**
