Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Universitylink Medical Science Program, students must:
  • Be enrolled in either the UniversityLink or TAG program at the community college.
  • Have completed a minimum of one semester at the community college and be currently enrolled in 12.0 semester units.
  • Have and maintain a GPA of 2.80 or higher GPA
  • Be able to commit full-time to this program. Summer classes, employment and other commitments are not allowed during the period of the residential program.

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • Intended major and career goals
  • Progress towards completing community college curriculum
  • Grade point average
  • Extracurricular activities including volunteer and community service, participation in developmental programs and leadership positions/offices held
  • Income
  • Work experience
  • Personal statement
  • Letters of recommendation
