Professor Emeritus,
Departments of Pathology & Neurosciences
University of California, San Diego
In 1976 Dr. Robert Terry and Robert Katzman published seminal articles launching us into the modern era of Alzheimer's disease research.  Dr. Terry has since made numerous major contributions to our understanding of the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of Alzheimer's disease over more than 3 decades. He also played a key role in supporting the development of a new generation of basic and clinical scientists who have continued to study the complex problems of aging and AD.
