Within the context of our Department's overall research program, my efforts have focussed on the structural and histochemical analysis of brain regions in which other faculty analyze changes occurring with drug actions. My research employs light and electron microscopy to determine the organization and chemical neuro-anatomic relationships that define how and where a drug can produce its effects at the cellular and systems level to understand the mechanisms by which drugs can affect overall brain function and to combat brain diseases.
