At high-power, the nodules can be seen subjacent to the muscularis mucosae that runs from top to bottom at the center of the image. In some places the muscularis mucosae is obscured by the lymphocytic infiltrate. Note the dense accumulations of lymphocytes in the lamina propria that forms the core of the villi at right. |
