At higher magnification, the cuboidal epithelial lining of bile ducts is apparent. Note the large lumen of the thin-walled branch of the portal vein and adjacent thicker-walled branch of the hepatic artery at right. Lymphatic vessels can be seen as irregular endothelial-lined spaces in the connective tissue of the portal tract. |
