In this view, the lighter-staining simple cuboidal epithelial lining of collecting ducts distinguishes them from the thick limbs of the loop of Henle. Note also the simple squamous epithelial lining of thin portions of the loop of Henle to the right of the large collecting duct at lower left. Several capillaries of the vasa recta are also evident. |
