WELCOME FROM DEAN ARANETA

The Office of Diversity and Community Partnerships supports innovative programs that enhance the academic, clinical, scholarly and advocacy skills of middle school, high school, community college, undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, graduate and medical students. Our program participants acquire the skills and knowledge they need to become successful members of a health professions workforce that reflects the economic, social and geographic diversity of the State of California.

As a part of an "engaged university", the UCSD Health Sciences Center encourages and participates in community-academic partnerships that define our region's health problems, develop solutions to address these problems and articulate our successes. Therefore, this office also promotes linkages between agencies in our surrounding communities and students and faculty in the Health Sciences Center so that we may work together to improve the health status of our populations.
