DOC Exercise

Exercise plays a major role in both primary and secondary prevention of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and obesity. Studies have long shown that people who modify their behavior and start regular physical activity have better rates of survival and a better quality of life. The role of DOC Exercise is to encourage our community's youth to take an active role in maintaining their own physical and mental well-being by involving themselves in regular exercise. Most importantly, we offer them guidelines on how to get started and improve their fitness programs by introducing the five core elements of physical fitness:

  • Aerobic fitness
  • Muscular fitness
  • Stretching
  • Core stability
  • Balance training

By going through interactive examples of each core element, we show that their health goals can be realistically achieved.
