Undergraduate Medical Education

Opportunity to Participate in the Curriculum

Dear Faculty Colleagues,

In September 2011, we will begin the second year of the recently implemented Integrated Scientific Curriculum (ISC), which has two longitudinal components. The first, Human Health and Disease (HHD), is composed of 11 integrated organ-based blocks with an emphasis on the normal human during year one and pathology and pathophysiology of disease, as well as clinical diagnosis and therapeutics, in year two.  The second, the Clinical Foundations (CF) component, will focus on imparting the clinical knowledge, skills and attitudes of being a physician.

We hope that you will consider serving in the role of faculty facilitator for one of the two educational segments of the Clinica lFoundations component: Practice of Medicine (POM) Groups and Problem Based Learning (PBL) Groups.  A general description of each segment, as well as their specific schedules, application instructions, and compensation information may be found here:

The deadline to apply for these positions is April 30, 2011. Final decisions will be made and communicated to you by the end of May.

We hope you will consider joining us on this exciting journey, teaching the medical students the professional, interpersonal and clinical knowledge, skills and attitudes essential to delivering compassionate, effective, patient-centered health care of the highest quality.
