With high-power, lacunae are present throughout the bone matrix and several longitudinal profiles of Haversian canals are seen. Tube-like opening at right angles to the axis of the Haversian canals represent Volkman’s canals, which provide conduits for blood vessels and nerve supplying the marrow. |
