A higher-power view of a thymic lobule shows the cortex and medulla, which contain T lymphocytes and epithelial cells. Epithelial cells form the supporting framework of the thymus and occasionally form spherical aggregates that are called thymic or Hassal’s corpuscles better seen in the next image. |
