At high power, a Hassal’s corpuscle in the center of this image is seen to be an eosinophilic, spherical, concentric aggregate of epithelial cells. These structures may become keratinized and even calcify. Note the large single nuclei of epithelial cells scattered among T cells in the parenchyma surrounding the Hassal’s corpuscle. |
