Medical Students for Justice

Established Fall 2014, UC San Diego Medical Students for Justice is committed to improving public and community health, enforcing social justice, community safety, and ending police brutality as part of a holistic approach to eliminating health disparities, especially in the greater San Diego area. Members coordinate actions, organize events and speakers, support local initiatives and demonstration, distribute networking information and resources, and provide information on current events. 

As a student-run organization, MS4J frequently works and builds community with the other on-campus affinity organizations, especially the Asian Pacific American Medical Student AssociationLatino Medical Student Association, LGBTq* Medical Student Association, Muslim Medical Student Association, and the Student National Medical Association
 

Mission Statement

Our mission is to raise awareness of social injustices, to empower doctors-in-training to effectively engage with these issues, and to prepare future physicians to be advocates for justice.
