Florida Health Equity Research Institute (HERI) Health Disparities Summit

The Florida HERI will host its third Health Disparities Summit February 5-6, 2016 at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. The goal of the summit is to explore collaborative partnerships among HERI and other contributors to strengthen health disparities research in Florida and elsewhere. The summit also provides insight into the impact of community advocates and their role in leading edge health disparities research, locally and nationally. The 2016 Summit will focus on research, personalized medicine, and pipeline programming. Deadline for abstract submission is January 8, 2016 and registration deadline is January 29. National Leadership Institute: September 11-13 at Duke University School of Medicine

The National Leadership Institute (NLI) holds triannual conferences in an effort to develop leadership skills for pre-med and medical students in preparation for future leadership positions. Areas of focus include medicine, business, management, and programming.
